iTunes is a database for audio files. Files can be imported from an audio CD, downloaded from the internet, or even recorded on the computer and then transferred to iTunes. iTunes also manages Podcast subscriptions and allows the transfer of files to an iPod.

One really neat thing that iTunes can do, is turn text or an article into an audio file! This would be a great thing to do for those students who really benefit from audio and visual representation. By doing this, the iTunes file can then be downloaded to your students iPod or iPad so that they can have this at home. Just think of what can be done with current events articles, review sheets, or even key vocabulary words!
