       1st grade students can use Kidspiration to create list books.  Above is an “I like” list book page that was created with the Activity Wizard.  It includes a customized Symbol Library and a preset font and size.  (Additional symbols can be added based on the "likes" of the students.)  Students can access the page (or "activity") in the Reading and Writing folder of Kidspiration.

 

Considerations for the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) include:

 

1. Graphic representation of words

 

2. Graphics are transformed in words in the Writing View

 

3. Typed words are spoken out-loud in the Writing View

 

4. CoWriter can also be used to support spelling
